Isn't This An Odd First Post?

I'm coming out of the woodwork to finally make a first post on the Internet Marketing Chaos blog, a project that has been on my mind and on the backburner for months.

Why now? Why such a strange first post?

I've just (hopefully) bought a box of stuff from James Brausch and this post is about the only way I know of to contact him, via a trackback from my blog.

You see, James is a bit of an odd guy. He doesn't allow comments on his blog (only trackbacks) and he doesn't answer email (unless you pay him for the privilege). He doesn't even answer customer service emails about his products - he has an autoresponse system in place that will try to answer your question with the closest possible FAQ.

(Which doesn't work too well in my experience. Quite frustrating when you have a question about how to use something you've bought and can't figure out the answer. But that's a story for another day.)

He's got an interesting blog, however, and some products that work extremely well. One of which was part of this "surprise box" of stuff I just paid for.

For anyone who's interested in multivariate testing, Muvar is an excellent piece of software. I've been using the 2006 version and this bundle of stuff includes the new one.

Once I get it and have a chance to spend some time on it, I'll write up a detailed review and get it posted here.
