Philipp Lenssen's 10 Adsense Tips
If you're using Adsense to monetize your site, go and read Philipp Lennsen's Google Adsense Tips on the Google Blogoscoped website.
They're written from the point of view of how to get the most from Adsense on a "real" site - that is, a site that has more going for it than simply being a wrapper for Adsense ads.
Some of these tips are pretty common knowledge to anyone who has been using Adsense for any length of time, but there are a few that are worth giving some thought to.
Especially if you come from the school of thought that more ad blocks means more chances to get clicks and therefore more money.
For example:

Excellent advice. We all know that Adsense "rule" that the best placement is a larger block floated top left of the main content. You see it all the time on sites that are made for Adsense. But how often do you link to those sites purely because of the great content?
For that matter, how often do you even read those sites when you come across them in your own search for information, say on your favorite hobby or when you're searching for how to do something.
I know I generally move on without even digging into the site, because I expect them to be filled with regurgitated information that doesn't really add anything to what I want to know.
